Berlin Troika wins award at Camerimage

BERLIN TROIKA by Andrej Gontcharov, D.O.P: Julian Landweer has been awarded the Golden Tadpole at Camerimage - International Film Festival.

In addition, the Polish Filmmakers Association has awarded Julian Landweer the prize for Best Cinematography in the Student Film Competition section.

Producer David Keitsch accepted the Golden Tadpole on behalf of the team.

DFFB films at interfilm Berlin

Award for Portrait of a Lone Farmer

Tom Akinleminu has won the 3sat Documentary Film Award at the Duisburger Filmwoche for his degree film Portrait of a Lone Farmer.

An excerpt from the jury statement: “The filmmaker handles his images with remarkable intelligence and confidence, again and again conveying a sense of aloofness, withdrawal and the intangible, yet nonetheless constantly opening up new realms of experience.”

Prizes for DFFB films

It was a weekend full of prizes for DFFB films:
Andrej Gontcharov won the Best Student Film award for BERLIN TROIKA! at the 44th Molodist Kyiv Int’l Film Festival in Ukraine. The award comes with 2,500$ prize money.

Miriam Bliese won the Valeur Award, which comes with 2,000€ prize money, at the San Marino Film Festival for AN DER TÜR /AT THE DOOR.

Raphael Beinder’s degree film DIE BÖHMS - ARCHITEKTUR EINER FAMILIE /CONCRETE LOVE won the Goethe Institute’s Documentary Film Award at the 57th. DOK Leipzig.
