We mourn the loss of our lecturer Jiri Polak.

Jiri was an extremely committed teacher of dramaturgy and script development at the DFFB for over 20 years. Many successful films from the school took shape thanks to his input.

Exhibition BILDER DENKEN/THINKING IN IMAGES - Film Costume Design

DFFB students working in conjunction with students from UdK Berlin’s Costume Design/Film course have created an exhibition that will be showing from tomorrow at Zoofenster Berlin.

Costume design is an essential component in a film’s visual concept. Exhibits and projections reveal the aesthetic challenges that costume design faces within each film. The show sheds light on the individual methods, artistic processes and stances involved in creating a film’s costume design – from sketches to realisation right up to the effect the costumes conjure up in the film.

The project is a cooperation between Swan Operations, arts only berlin, UdK Berlin and the DFFB.

Exhibition opening: Tuesday, 4.2. at 6 p.m.
Address: Zoofenster Berlin, Joachimstaler Straße / corner of Kantstraße, Entrance Shop 3
Opening hours: 4.-22.2.2014, Mon–Sun 4 p.m.–10 p.m.
