Nominations for FIRST STEPS Awards 2015

The nominations for the FIRST STEPS Awards 2015 have been announced and the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie is pleased to be on the shortlist with two films in the “Full length feature films” category. Micah Magee’s STREICHELZOO (PETTING ZOO) and Katja Sambeth´s GLUTNESTER (EMBER GLOW) are the two DFFB degree films in the running for the prestigious FIRST STEPS Awards.

For the Michael-Ballhaus-Award, to be worth 10.000 Euros, is the dffb cinematography graduate Raphael Beinder nominated, who covinced the jury in the preselection with his work in the documentary DIE BÖHMS – ARCHITEKTUR EINER FAMILIE.

The FIRST STEPS Awards will be awarded in a special gala ceremony on 14th September 2015 in the Stage Theater am Potsdamer Platz.
