Cannes successes for DFFB alumni and students

Time to celebrate – twice over!

Even if it wasn’t the Golden Palm this time, we are delighted that the German competition entry TONI ERDMANN was such a great success at the 69th Cannes Film Festival, winning the FIPRESCI critics’ award for Best Film – and four of the team are from the DFFB: alumni Jonas Dornbach (producer), Ben von Dobeneck (line producer) and David Keitsch (co-producer) as well as one of our current students Annika Pinske (Personal Assistant).

What’s more, THE HAPPIEST DAY IN THE LIFE OF OLLI MÄKI also won the main prize in the Un Certain Regard section. DFFB alumnus Sol Bondy was co-producer for the film on the German side.

Congratulations – and we’ll be starting the week on a celebratory note!
