Screenwriting Academy Pitch
The students Screenwriting Academy complete their thesis screenplays at the end of the third year of studies. Thesis screenplays are presented annually at the Screenwriting Academy Pitch in September.
This event is open to a wider range of producers, in other words, also to companies that do not directly sponsor the Screenwriting Academy. A pool of television commissioning editors - in effect, the potential decision makers for green-lighting the project - are also invited.
Needless to say, the first look option for the thesis screenplays is given only and exclusively to our sponsors.
For our sponsors, a separate event is organized, where students not only present their screenplays but where production companies come and introduce themselves, their profile, their special areas of focus and contacts. The intention is to strengthen their link to the students and to the dffb. This new event takes place at the conclusion of the second year of studies, after the students have completed the Comedy Master Class and the Adaptation Class.
