We’re creating a short, poetic documentary that explores you, me, all of us — humanity itself. Yes, it might sound a bit sentimental, but it’s honest. The universality of the human experience.
Location: Berlin
Project Type: Short Film (Documentary / Abstract hybrid)
Shooting: 1 day through the 1st – 2nd week of June (flexible)
Ages: 9 – 90
Requirements: English speaker (basic level)
ABOUT THE PROJECT
We move through life, growing, discovering, always changing. This film is about what connects us, one life, many voices. Even though every person is unique, there’s something universally human in all our stories. Often we focus on what separates us, here we question the idea of “generational gaps” and explore that the stages of life are more connected than we think, all part of the same journey.
There are no right or wrong answers — it’s an open exploration.
YOUR ROLE IN IT
Participation is simple and divided into two parts:
1. Voice Interview. You’ll receive 6 reflective questions about your life and experiences. You can answer them via voice notes, on your own time, from wherever you feel most comfortable. Then send your recordings via email or WhatsApp.
2. Personal Footage (filmed together) We’ll meet to capture footage of you — guided, but with room for creativity.
This could be:
In your favourite park
At home, cooking, reading, painting, playing and instrument, dancing
Wearing something you love (or something bold you never wear)
With someone important to you
In a place that means something, or place you would like to show
