Call for Sound Recordist / Sound Artist
For my independent short dance art film *Sense of Place*, I am looking for a sound recordist or sound artist to capture physical and atmospheric sounds during the filming of a dance performance.
Shooting period: 18–23 August 2026
Availability needed: One half-day (approx. 4–5 hours) during this period
Location: Uferstudios, Berlin
The focus is on recording the physical and atmospheric qualities of the performance, including:
- body movement and footsteps
– breathing
– costume/fabric sounds
– interactions with the space
– room tone and atmosphere of the location
– other subtle physical sound textures
The recordings will become material for the film’s sound design.
Requirements:
- Own recording equipment preferred (portable recorder, microphones, etc.)
– Experience with sound recording, field recording, sound art, dance, theatre, or film is welcome
– Ability to deliver high-quality WAV files
