About the Project
European Dreamers is a vertical series set on a European night train.
Each episode follows intimate encounters between crew members and passengers – traveling through Europe, in the middle of the night.
We are currently shooting an unpaid teaser as the basis for pitching the first season (including ARTE).
ABBY
Playing age: approx. 19
Abby is American and works as a service attendant on the train.
She is open, humorous, emotionally present – someone who easily connects with people, asks a lot of questions, and truly means well. Often a bit too much. Exactly what makes her relatable.
We are looking for:
international presence
ideally a native English speaker
strong, natural screen presence
communicative, humorous, dialogue-driven
career changers welcome
filming in English (fluent or native)
Berlin-based preferred
FRANZ
Playing age: approx. 20–30
Franz works as a cook on the train. A rough-edged character who has lived more than he talks about.
He has a migration background, speaks just enough English for the job, and is obsessed with finding the perfect recipe. Quiet – but very present.
We are looking for:
Balkan background welcome
strong, natural presence
career changers or actors with little on-camera experience welcome
filming in English (not necessarily fluent)
Berlin-based preferred
