Film\u00admak\u00aders and musi\u00adcians often strug\u00adgle to find a joint vocab\u00adu\u00adlary to talk about both their per\u00adspec\u00adtives and artis\u00adtic ideas. And then, there are also orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion\u00adal process\u00ades, like licens\u00ading and secur\u00ading copy\u00adrights, that both sides have ques\u00adtions about. How can film\u00admak\u00aders and musi\u00adcians bet\u00adter work togeth\u00ader? How to bet\u00adter under\u00adstand each other\u2019s process\u00ades, approach\u00ades and require\u00adments?<\/p>\n<p>With two teams of film\u00admak\u00aders and musi\u00adcians who have col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adrat\u00aded on recent projects, we would like to explore their col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtive process\u00ades from both a cre\u00adative and an orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion\u00adal angle.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>How can film\u00admak\u00aders and musi\u00adcians come up with a joint vocab\u00adu\u00adlary to talk about music in a film?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>How to devel\u00adop ideas for sound for a film?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>What chal\u00adlenges and best prac\u00adtices have come up dur\u00ading the col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtive process\u00ades?<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>What are legal ques\u00adtions to keep in mind?<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After the dis\u00adcus\u00adsion, we will&nbsp;cre\u00adate&nbsp;spaces for those of you inter\u00adest\u00aded to get to know each oth\u00ader bet\u00adter or exchange per\u00adspec\u00adtives about a top\u00adic in more depth. The small break out group con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adtions will be option\u00adal, for those who are inter\u00adest\u00aded to talk more.<\/p>\n<p>We will also offer a notice board for you in the meet\u00ading room to post, for exam\u00adple, if you are look\u00ading for music for your film, or if you\u2019d like to show your music to film\u00admak\u00aders. In India, in 2008, she shot her first fea\u00adture doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adtary fol\u00adlowed by sev\u00ader\u00adal short films. In addi\u00adtion she assist\u00aded in var\u00adi\u00adous film and tele\u00advi\u00adsion pro\u00adduc\u00adtions. At the Film Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty Babels\u00adberg KONRAD WOLF she stud\u00adied direct\u00ading and passed her diplo\u00adma with dis\u00adtinc\u00adtion. (M)OTHER is her grad\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion film.<\/p>\n<p>Aus\u00adtri\u00adan com\u00adpos\u00ader&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/markus-zierhofer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Markus Zier\u00adhofer<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;has been cre\u00adat\u00ading music and sound worlds for over a decade for inde\u00adpen\u00addent film pro\u00adduc\u00adtions as well as inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtions for Net\u00adflix, Dis\u00adney, Uni\u00adver\u00adsal or abc. After his Bach\u00ade\u00adlor in com\u00adpo\u00adsi\u00adtion and Mas\u00adter degree in film music at the Film Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty Babels\u00adberg Kon\u00adrad Wolf he is work\u00ading on var\u00adi\u00adous for\u00admats in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.audiocreatures.com\/\">his stu\u00addio in Berlin<\/a>, blend\u00ading and bend\u00ading musi\u00adcal gen\u00adres of all kinds to find the extra\u00ador\u00addi\u00adnary tone for each project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salzgeber.de\/kokon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KOKON<\/a>: Leonie Krip\u00adpen\u00addorff &amp; Maya Postep\u00ads\u00adki<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonie Krip\u00adpen\u00addorff<\/strong>&nbsp;was born in Berlin, Ger\u00admany in 1985. She stud\u00adied direct\u00ading at the Film Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty Babels\u00adberg Kon\u00adrad Wolf from 2009 to 2016. Her grad\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion film, Loop\u00ading, was nom\u00adi\u00adnat\u00aded for numer\u00adous nation\u00adal and inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal prizes and won sev\u00ader\u00adal. Her debut fea\u00adture film, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.berlinale.de\/en\/archive-2020\/programme\/detail\/202011123.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">KOKON<\/a>, pre\u00admiered as the open\u00ading film of Berli\u00adnale Gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion 14plus in 2020. She is cur\u00adrent\u00adly work\u00ading on the screen\u00adplays for two new fea\u00adture film projects. Vari\u00adety chose her as one of \u201e10 Euro\u00adpeans to Watch 2020\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/soundcloud.com\/mayapostepski\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Maya Postep\u00ads\u00adki<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;is a Cana\u00addi\u00adan musi\u00adcian and pro\u00adduc\u00ader from Toron\u00adto, cur\u00adrent\u00adly based in Berlin. She has been mak\u00ading music for over fif\u00adteen years, best known as drum\u00admer of the elec\u00adtron\u00adic group Aus\u00adtra (Domi\u00adno). She is a mul\u00adti-instru\u00admen\u00adtal\u00adist, pro\u00adlif\u00adic remix artist and DJ. Maya co-wrote and pro\u00adduced music for TR\/\u200bST, worked as a vocal\u00adist with Egyp\u00adtrixx, and cur\u00adrent\u00adly plays live with Emel Math\u00adlouthi and Peach\u00ades. She per\u00adforms solo under the title&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/princesscentury.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Princess Cen\u00adtu\u00adry<\/a>, and will release her third solo album in late 2020. She is also active\u00adly involved in con\u00adsult\u00ading for dance, fash\u00adion shows, com\u00admer\u00adcial work and film scores. Maya was invit\u00aded to par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpate in the 2018 ses\u00adsion of the Berli\u00adnale Tal\u00adents pro\u00adgram as a film com\u00adpos\u00ader, and scored Leonie Krip\u00adpen\u00addorf\u00adf\u2019s lat\u00adest fea\u00adture film, KOKON, which pre\u00admiered at Berli\u00adnale 2020. She com\u00adplet\u00aded a fea\u00adture length doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adtary, var\u00adi\u00adous doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adtary con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtions for Arte, 3sat and ZDF kul\u00adtur and has worked as pro\u00adduc\u00adtion man\u00adag\u00ader and cre\u00adative pro\u00adduc\u00ader for inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal fea\u00adture films, music videos and TV series togeth\u00ader with Til\u00adda Swin\u00adton, Christoph Schlin\u00adgen\u00adsief, Moni\u00adka Treut and many oth\u00aders.
