Tak\u00ading a quick look at cin\u00ade\u00adma since its foun\u00adda\u00adtion, it is very easy to see how deci\u00adsive it was in shap\u00ading the imag\u00adi\u00adnary of rela\u00adtion\u00adships between the glob\u00adal north and south, between men and women, black and white, past and future, between the Us and the Oth\u00aders. For\u00adget\u00adful\u00adness being one of the fun\u00adda\u00admen\u00adtal tools of the colo\u00adnial regime, cin\u00ade\u00adma emerged as the per\u00adfect instru\u00adment to make non-nor\u00adma\u00adtive peo\u00adple for\u00adget our human\u00adi\u00adty and turned us into mon\u00adsters. From that place to which colo\u00adnial his\u00adto\u00adry des\u00adtined us, we, the mon\u00adsters, began to speak and, very recent\u00adly, to be heard. But how does a mon\u00adster speak? What lan\u00adguage do we mon\u00adsters use to com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adcate among our\u00adselves? How do we under\u00adstand and expe\u00adri\u00adence time and space in our nar\u00adra\u00adtives? What imag\u00adi\u00adnar\u00adies do we build to inhab\u00adit the world with dig\u00adni\u00adty, even being mon\u00adsters? How do the monster\u2019s words sur\u00advive the devour\u00ading nature of colo\u00adnial cap\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adism?
