The stu\u00addent film club 35K<\/a> invites to a screen\u00ading and Q&A with Ola Jankows\u00adka! Before the organ\u00adis\u00aders talk to the direc\u00adtor about her work, her fea\u00adture film ANATOMIA (103 min, Pol\u00adish with Eng\u00adlish sub\u00adti\u00adtles) will be pre\u00adsent\u00aded to the audi\u00adence.<\/p>\n

Mika returns to Poland to meet her father who is suf\u00adfer\u00ading from a severe brain injury and inher\u00adent mem\u00ado\u00adry loss. Although they haven\u2019t seen each oth\u00ader for many years, upon her arrival she becomes the father\u2019s com\u00adpan\u00adion in per\u00adplex\u00adi\u00adty \u2014 gen\u00adtly guid\u00ading him through the labyrinth of his fad\u00ading mind. And as she does so, she grad\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly sets off on a jour\u00adney through her own life. Grad\u00adu\u00adal\u00adly, the sense of time and space start break\u00ading: the present blends with the long bygone past and places reveal their far\u00adaway his\u00adto\u00adry and mem\u00ado\u00adries. Slow\u00adly, life and its end, too, begin to blur. Shot on dig\u00adi\u00adtal, 35mm, VHS and ther\u00admo\u00advi\u00adsion cam\u00aderas, incor\u00adpo\u00adrat\u00ading archive footage. A col\u00adlage-like jour\u00adney through time, mem\u00ado\u00adry and the ori\u00adgins of our iden\u00adti\u00adty.<\/p>\n

About Ola Jankows\u00adka<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ola Jankows\u00adka is a Pol\u00adish-born writer and direc\u00adtor, based in Berlin and work\u00ading inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adly. Her first fea\u00adture fic\u00adtion Anato\u00admia (Poland, France 2021) pre\u00admiered in Venice 2021 as a part of Venice Days and has since screened at fes\u00adti\u00advals around the world win\u00adning sev\u00ader\u00adal prizes. Her first fea\u00adture-length doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adtary I Was Here (Great Britain, 2019), co-direct\u00aded with Nathalie Biancheri, pre\u00admiered at CPH:DOX 2019. Ola\u2019s work was also exhib\u00adit\u00aded at the Pol\u00adish Nation\u00adal Gallery Zacheta. She stud\u00adied Direct\u00ading at Lodz Film School in Poland and the NFTS in the UK \u2014 as well as par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpat\u00aded in pro\u00adgrams such as Tori\u00adnoFilm\u00adLab, CPH:LAB, Euro\u00adpean Short Pitch, Ekran+ or Zurich Mas\u00adter\u00adclass. She also teach\u00ades cre\u00adative writ\u00ading to screen\u00adwrit\u00ading stu\u00addents at the Lodz Film School.<\/p>\n
