After all applications have been reviewed by our committee, applicants will be notified and informed in January\/February of the decision regarding pre-selection and the invitation to the entrance examination.<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Dates and Deadlines<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/article><\/div>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>September 16th, 2025 : Publication of the application tasks for the pre-selection on the website<\/li>\r\n \t<li>November 17th, 2025: End of the registration period in the application portal<\/li>\r\n \t<li>December 8th, 2025: Deadline for submitting the completed tasks in the application portal<\/li>\r\n \t<li>January\/February 2026: Notification to applicants by the admissions committee, including the pre-selection decision and invitation to the entrance examination<\/li>\r\n \t<li>March\/April 2026:\u00a0Entrance examinations on site at the DFFB<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe candidates are informed in advance of the precise dates and structure of the examination week.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nTo enrol in studies at the DFFB, candidates must go through a comprehensive application process:\u00a0 Students first submit an application and portfolio. The DFFB then selects a small proportion of applicants and invites them to attend a one-week entrance examination at the academy. This examination is overseen by an examination board.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nApplications are accepted every year via a process that begins in autumn for the following year.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>The academy\u2019s online application process is divided by study specialisation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>To apply to a specialisation, students must submit photos, film exercises, texts, images and other materials.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>After this submission, the examination board selects a small number of candidates to take the entrance examination at the DFFB during spring.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The entrance examination includes oral, written and practical elements. These elements are intended to identify an applicant\u2019s potential as well as their practical, collaborative, and creative abilities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At the end of the examination process, a new class is selected to join the DFFB for the following academic year.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Every year, 6\u201310 students from Germany and abroad are admitted into each specialisation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Admission to the programme depends solely on successfully passing the entrance examinations.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Further Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nApplicants should be at least 21 years old at the beginning of their studies.\r\n\r\nPractical experience or academic degrees in related fields are not required, but increase the chance of admission.\r\n\r\nA candidate cannot apply more than twice for admission to the DFFB.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Language skills<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Please note that good written and spoken German is required to study at the DFFB.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>International applicants must prove their German language skills in the form of the Goethe Certificate B2 (or equivalent), which must be presented at the start of their studies in autumn.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The written application may be submitted in English and the oral\/practical examination may be conducted in English, if a candidate's German language skills are insufficient at this time.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Good written and spoken English-language skills are required for all candidates.
