From 2001 to 2005, he studied film and television in Georgia, and from 2009 he studied directing at the DFFB in Berlin. His first feature film, LET THE SUMMER NEVER COME AGAIN (2017), won the Grand Prix at the Marseille Film Festival. His second feature, WHAT DO WE SEE WHEN WE LOOK AT THE SKY? (2021), celebrated its world premiere in the main competition of the Berlinale. His feature film DRY LEAF (2025) premiered in the main competition of the 78th Locarno Film Festival.
