With the achieve\u00adment of this mile\u00adstone, the DFFB has tak\u00aden fur\u00adther steps to secure the programme\u2019s suc\u00adcess\u00adful future: a fresh\u00adly appoint\u00aded Head of Stud\u00adies, a new indus\u00adtry part\u00adner, a new advi\u00adso\u00adry board, and a new set of 12 par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants start\u00ading the next term in Sep\u00adtem\u00adber.<\/p>\n<p>Ser\u00adi\u00adal Eyes is hap\u00adpy to announce its new Head of Stud\u00adies, Katrin Merkel, who began the posi\u00adtion on 1<sup>st<\/sup> July 2022. Katrin Merkel has many years of expe\u00adri\u00adence work\u00ading in var\u00adi\u00adous depart\u00adments of tele\u00advi\u00adsion. She has worked as writer and in script devel\u00adop\u00adment for a vari\u00adety of major pro\u00adduc\u00adtion com\u00adpa\u00adnies, as a script read\u00ader and dra\u00admaturge in the fic\u00adtion depart\u00adment of the Ger\u00adman pri\u00advate broad\u00adcast\u00ader RTL Tele\u00advi\u00adsion, as a free\u00adlance devel\u00adop\u00adment pro\u00adduc\u00ader for var\u00adi\u00adous TV series pro\u00adduc\u00adtions, and as a teacher for dra\u00admatur\u00adgy and ser\u00adi\u00adal storytelling\/\u200bWriters\u2019 Room. In 2021, she pub\u00adlished the well-received book <em>DER GERMAN ROOM \u2013 Der US-Writ\u00aders\u2019 Room in der deutschen Serienen\u00adtwick\u00adlung<\/em> togeth\u00ader with her co-author Timo G\u00f6\u00dfler.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI feel very hon\u00adoured to be now part of Ser\u00adi\u00adal Eyes, Europe\u2019s first and pre\u00admier post\u00adgrad\u00adu\u00adate edu\u00adca\u00adtion pro\u00adgram in ser\u00adi\u00adal sto\u00adry\u00adtelling. A total of twelve writ\u00aders from Czech Repub\u00adlic, France, Italy, Ger\u00admany, Nether\u00adlands, Ser\u00adbia, Hun\u00adgary, Kenya, Israel, and Fin\u00adland will devel\u00adop new con\u00adcepts for tele\u00advi\u00adsion series and learn to work col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtive\u00adly in the Writ\u00aders\u2019 Room. Under the guid\u00adance of a team of inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal lec\u00adtur\u00aders from the indus\u00adtry \u2013 show run\u00adners, head writ\u00aders, pro\u00adduc\u00aders, and com\u00admis\u00adsion\u00ading edi\u00adtors of Euro\u00adpean broad\u00adcast\u00aders \u2013 each par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpant will devel\u00adop a tele\u00advi\u00adsion series that will be pre\u00adsent\u00aded at the Final Pitch in front of a pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adal audi\u00adence at the end of the pro\u00adgramme in May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Fur\u00adther\u00admore, Ser\u00adi\u00adal Eyes has a strong new indus\u00adtry part\u00adner on board: VIS, the inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal stu\u00addio divi\u00adsion of Para\u00admount and one of the world\u2019s lead\u00ading pro\u00adduc\u00aders of pre\u00admi\u00adum enter\u00adtain\u00adment con\u00adtent, has part\u00adnered with Ser\u00adi\u00adal Eyes to help fos\u00adter the next gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion of screen\u00adwrit\u00ading tal\u00adent.
