Between Novem\u00adber 7 and 12, 2023, fem\u00adi\u00adnist else\u00adwheres will cel\u00ade\u00adbrate over 50 years of fem\u00adi\u00adnist film work in six days with a com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive film pro\u00adgram, work\u00adshops and an exhi\u00adbi\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

fem\u00adi\u00adnist else\u00adwheres<\/em> draws on two events that took place at the Arse\u00adnal cin\u00ade\u00adma in Berlin: the First Inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal Women\u2019s Film Sem\u00adi\u00adnar<\/em> of 1973, which is con\u00adsid\u00adered the start\u00ading point of the fem\u00adi\u00adnist film move\u00adment in West Ger\u00admany and was orga\u00adnized by Clau\u00addia von Ale\u00admann and Helke Sander with the sup\u00adport of Eri\u00adka Gre\u00adgor, among oth\u00aders. In 1997, a revis\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion of the Women\u2019s Film Sem\u00adi\u00adnar titled \u2026 the point is to change it. Films, Fes\u00adti\u00advals, Fem\u00adi\u00adnism<\/em> took place, to which, under the cura\u00adtion of then cin\u00ade\u00adma direc\u00adtor Ste\u00adfanie Schulte Strathaus, as well as Madeleine Bern\u00adstorff, Bir\u00adgit Kohler, Sil\u00advia Hal\u00adlensleben, and Regi\u00adna Holzkamp, all part of Blick\u00adpi\u00adlotin e.V., five fem\u00adi\u00adnist film fes\u00adti\u00advals from all over Europe were invit\u00aded. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

fem\u00adi\u00adnist else\u00adwheres<\/em> is put togeth\u00ader by Arisa Purkpong, Sophie Holzberg\u00ader, Char\u00adlotte Eit\u00adel\u00adbach, Fiona Berg and Ele\u00adna Baumeis\u00adter. Cen\u00adtral to the cura\u00adto\u00adr\u00adi\u00adal process was the dia\u00adlogue between his\u00adtor\u00adi\u00adcal and con\u00adtem\u00adpo\u00adrary cin\u00ade\u00admat\u00adic fem\u00adi\u00adnisms.
