The DFFB was rep\u00adre\u00adsent\u00aded with sev\u00ader\u00adal pro\u00adduc\u00adtions at this year\u2019s Max Oph\u00fcls Prize in Saar\u00adbr\u00fcck\u00aden, one of the most impor\u00adtant film fes\u00adti\u00advals for Ger\u00adman-lan\u00adguage new\u00adcom\u00ader films \u2014 and was delight\u00aded to receive some remark\u00adable awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNGEDULD DES HERZENS: Best Fea\u00adture Film, two awards for Best Young Actor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our copro\u00adduc\u00adtion with rbb and Schi\u00adwa\u00adgo Film UNGEDULD DES HERZENS<\/a><\/em> (D: Lau\u00adro Cress, S: Lau\u00adro Cress & Flo\u00adri\u00adan Plumey\u00ader, C: Jan David Gun\u00adther, P: Loren\u00adzo Gan\u00addol\u00adfo) won the main prize for Best Fea\u00adture Film, endowed with 36,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film tells the sto\u00adry of a sol\u00addier who is torn between his social role and his per\u00adson\u00adal feel\u00adings. In atmos\u00adpher\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly dense images, the film address\u00ades ques\u00adtions of class, iden\u00adti\u00adty and the pow\u00ader of com\u00adpas\u00adsion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addi\u00adtion, the lead\u00ading actors Giulio Brizzi and Lad\u00adi\u00adna von Frisching were each hon\u00adoured with awards for Best New Act\u00ading for their out\u00adstand\u00ading per\u00adfor\u00admances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GARNELIUS: Best Medi\u00adum Length Film<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GARNELIUS<\/a><\/em> (R\/\u200bB: Julia Ketel\u00adhut, K: Roc\u00edo D\u00edaz Freire, P: Melvyn Zeyns & Jonas Nemela) received the prize in the cat\u00ade\u00adgo\u00adry Best Medi\u00adum-Length Film, endowed with 5,000 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film com\u00adbines mag\u00adi\u00adcal real\u00adism with a pro\u00adfound exam\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of a dif\u00adfi\u00adcult father-son rela\u00adtion\u00adship, gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtional con\u00adflicts and the search for iden\u00adti\u00adty in the after\u00admath of Ger\u00adman reuni\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ROTE STERNE \u00dcBERM FELD: Film Crit\u00adics\u2019 Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In addi\u00adtion to the DFFB pro\u00adduc\u00adtions, ROTE STERNE \u00dcBERM FELD (direc\u00adtor: Lau\u00adra Laabs) was also a big suc\u00adcess. The film, on which DFFB stu\u00addents Daria Wich\u00admann and Lisa Rol\u00ading worked, was award\u00aded the Film Crit\u00adics\u2019 Prize for Best Fea\u00adture Film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
