Yugen Yah, film\u00admak\u00ader and pod\u00adcast\u00ader, mod\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded the dis\u00adcus\u00adsion. The pan\u00adel includ\u00aded Susanne St\u00fcrmer, Pres\u00adi\u00addent of the Film Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty Babels\u00adberg KONRAD WOLF, direc\u00adtor and author Mer\u00adle Grimme, Yelyza\u00adve\u00adta Davy\u00addenko, a stu\u00addent at the Ani\u00adma\u00adtion Insti\u00adtute of the Film Acad\u00ade\u00admy Baden-W\u00fcrt\u00adtem\u00adberg, and Sinem G\u00f6kser, Diver\u00adsi\u00adty and Inclu\u00adsion Offi\u00adcer. Togeth\u00ader with uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty mem\u00adbers, film\u00admak\u00aders, and stu\u00addents in atten\u00addance, the par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants dis\u00adcussed the impor\u00adtance of diver\u00adsi\u00adty in mod\u00adern film pro\u00adduc\u00adtion and the best pos\u00adsi\u00adble meth\u00adods of pro\u00admo\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The joined forces of the uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties and the sup\u00adport pro\u00advid\u00aded by Net\u00adflix have advanced diver\u00adsi\u00adty work in impor\u00adtant areas and enabled it to become more pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adal. One exam\u00adple is the devel\u00adop\u00adment and imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of a cross-uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00ading edu\u00adca\u00adtion pro\u00adgram on diver\u00adsi\u00adty that is specif\u00adi\u00adcal\u00adly tai\u00adlored to the inter\u00adsec\u00adtion of film and teach\u00ading. If diver\u00adsi\u00adty-ori\u00adent\u00aded per\u00adspec\u00adtives and work\u00ading meth\u00adods are taught as a mat\u00adter of course dur\u00ading train\u00ading, stu\u00addents are more like\u00adly to take these with them into the indus\u00adtry as stan\u00addards. Com\u00admit\u00adted teach\u00aders from all six uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adties are par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpat\u00ading, and the feed\u00adback has been pos\u00adi\u00adtive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One thing was made clear through the dis\u00adcus\u00adsion: <strong>Diver\u00adsi\u00adty is not an option\u00adal extra, but an essenci\u00adtal part of film study and pro\u00adduc\u00adtion.<\/strong> The par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants empha\u00adsized the need to cre\u00adate sus\u00adtain\u00adable stan\u00addarts and struc\u00adtures so that respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty for diver\u00adsi\u00adty does not fall soley on indi\u00advid\u00adu\u00adals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u201cBoost\u00ading the Next Gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion\u201d project exem\u00adpli\u00adfies that diver\u00adsi\u00adty and anti-dis\u00adcrim\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion work is effec\u00adtive when it is struc\u00adtural\u00adly con\u00adceived and approached col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtive\u00adly. The dis\u00adcus\u00adsion end\u00aded with a call for the indus\u00adtry, fund\u00ading insti\u00adtu\u00adtions, and polo\u00adcy\u00admak\u00aders to take tar\u00adget\u00aded action to estab\u00adlish dis\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty and dis\u00adcrim\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion as bind\u00ading stan\u00addards. There were also some pos\u00adi\u00adtive news: The paric\u00adi\u00adpat\u00ading film schools will con\u00adtin\u00adue work\u00ading togeth\u00ader.
