Tired

Jannes Voss is in his early thirties. He does his best to keep his life somewhat organized. Fascinated with horse races, he spends a lot of time at the betting office. The speed, the rhythm of the horses, the stomping and snorting let him plunge into a different world. The betting office is his refuge, the races structure his time. The structure shatters when he receives a call from his father. His mother passed away. Jannes visits his father, whom he hasn’t seen nor heard in years. He leaves his trusted surroundings to find himself confronted with his father, his dead mother, the mourning, the impossibilities and a stranger. Jannes keeps on returning to the betting office – not knowing how to feel, not sure he can tell apart his sadness from his immense tiredness.
