This is a two weekend workshop – 13/14 Feb and 27/28 Feb 2021
The new DaVinci Resolve 17 comes with lots of new features, tools, and improvements in color grading, changing drastically the way we work. With the new color management options, setting up color spaces and color space transforms is easier than ever, as well as grading for multiple displays and outputs. New color tools, like Color Warper and Magic Masks make complex tasks easier and powerful. In this workshop, we explore advanced grading techniques, based on the new version of the software. Workshop takes places in two weekends, and students must join both. WHO SHOULD JOIN? This workshop is designed for those who did previously the regular DaVinci Resolve Color Grading Workshop. Those who did Advanced Color Grading in the past could (and should) also join this one, because everything is new this time, and we focus on the important changes in version 17 of the software. Those who didn’t attend any previous DaVinci workshop may also join, if they have the necessary knowledge: project settings, basic workflow, applying LUT’s, color wheels, log mode, curves, creating windows (masks), selecting color ranges, basic nodes (serial, outside nodes), and the fundamentals of layer and parallel nodes. Those with questions about knowing enough to join this workshop.
