How can I design my film according to my means? Can I use the budget as a creative tool? Is money the only answer? How do I best present my project to find support anyway? In this two-day workshop, we will try together to answer these questions — starting from Guillaume’s own experience and looking at concrete examples. We will apply some of these approaches to each participant’s project, work on short pitches, define rough budgets, and discuss how to finance them — not only by identifying possible funding sources but also by exploring alternative production strategies. The workshop welcomes participants of all levels. It is most useful to come with a project — even if it is only an idea. It can be a fiction or non-fiction project. The workshop will be held in English (German possible if needed).
