Kerstin Polte
VITA
Kerstin Polte is a director and screenwriter. Her debut feature WHO ACTUALLY INVENTED LOVE? won, among others, the Bavarian Film Award. She later directed for television, including a TATORT episode and the series WIR and BECOMING CHARLIE, both nominated for the Grimme Prize. Her new film BLINDGÄNGER has just been released. At the heart of her poetic and humorous stories are unconventional, resilient characters and relationships that offer fresh perspectives on society. She believes in the power of imagination — and that one cannot create art when internally broken. So she practices building new spaces — and invites others to grow with her.
