Pigeon Revolution

Hong Kong, 2023. Four years after the mass protests, many forms of political expression have vanished under the National Security Law. A former citizen journalist attempts to preserve the traces of a suppressed movement. Between archives and personal memories, he searches for ways to keep the spirit of 2019 alive. At the same time, he rescues and cares for injured street pigeons. As remembrance itself becomes increasingly politicised, the film poses a poignant question: what remains of a movement after it fails? A portrait of a person quietly resisting oblivion.
