Berg Fidel
David, his brother Jakob, Anita and Lucas visit the elementary school BERG FIDEL in Münster. They have big dreams for their future and make great progress in BERG IDEL, a role model in Germany. This school takes on every pupil, no matterwhat race, religion or handicap.
David wants to become an astronomer, plays the piano as a little Mozart and invents daily jokes. Whenever he needs some concentrated time he turns off his hearing aid. His brother Jakob, who has the Down Syndrome cheers up the whole class. He would like to become a farmer. Anita, a girl fled from Kosove must take care of her younger brother so that she barely has time to practice running like a top model. Lucas who has problems in reading is expert in auto mechanics and knows how to tune a car.
They all learn together, aged mixed, solve their problems in class councils and teach each other. After grade 4, at the age of 10, the inclusive elementary school ends and these children are separated and send to different schools. A decision for life. For 3years the director Hella Wenders followed the ups and downs of their daily life.
