Monte Kali

After the sudden collapse of Monte Kali’s core, the miners are swallowed by darkness. Trapped in the silence of the deep earth, they start to remember. One of them is haunted by images far beyond what any prayer can reconcile.

Liguster

A never-ending line of identical, single-unit houses next to each other, neatly separated by privet hedges – Ligustrum. This world is made for families, consisting of father, mother and child, of course. He’s got the job, she’s got the kids. That’s the way it has always been. Even when GRETA gives birth, not to a human child, but to a regular vacuum cleaner, nothing changes in this world’s beautiful order. Greta may be stunned, but everyone else is thrilled. A vacuum cleaner is very handy! And after all, motherhood is the most important thing for a woman. Plus the household. She’s expected to take care of the little machine just like a normal kid. Greta wants to fit in, to play along, but the more she tries, the more she understands the absurdity of her world, where the norms are suffocating and from which there is no way out.

Mudhole

It is dawn in Moddergat, a small coastal village in the Netherlands in the year 2039. There is little time left for the four-headed delegation of the International Climate Tribunal to prepare the human sacrifice that will keep the dangers of climate change at bay. Broken Base

The young, ambitious Eva came to Vienna from Germany to study architecture there. At the end of her studies, she begins an internship in the office of the influential architect Andreas Hummel. Her everyday life now revolves around designing an art park, and in the process she gets to know the hierarchies of a male-dominated workplace. She observes the dynamics between the architects and gradually becomes part of the subtle power games. As the time elapses in the architecture office, she understands that she should correspond to an image that her environment makes of her: to be a young and available woman. Eva is confronted with the power and scope of this ascription and is forced to define her position clearly.

The Night Alphabet

When we love someone, we create an image of that person. But, when it comes to it, do we project our love onto the image or onto the person? This film portrays a young couple with a newborn child in a foreign city. Incapable of communicating his feelings, Ruben alienates himself by writing in the night alphabet. But, by doing so, he strives further and further away from reality. Meanwhile Diana, his wife, has a fight of her own. Locked up in a small apartment, she has to deal with her baby blues. The immersion in the fictional world that Ruben creates, begins to invade reality, sharpening episodes of psychosis or confusion for Diana. Little by little both finish destroying the ruins of what was left of them.
