I Want to Return Return Return

I Want To Return Return Return combines fictional and non-fictional elements to depict the neighbourhood Wrangelkiez in Berlin. The people portrayed tell their life stories. One woman came to the neighbourhood a decade ago to work in Berlin’s still unfinished Brandenburger Airport, one man reminisces his childhood on a Tobacco farm in Kentucky, another speaks of an exceptional day in an otherwise monotonous workplace. These portraits are interwoven with the story of Elpi, a Greek woman who is waiting for the long overdue visit of an old important friend. The outcome of this mixture is a film which captures the lives and perspectives of some of Wrangelkiez’s most commanding citizens, while at the same time evoking the loss that change and time passing means for places and for people.

The German Bundestag (parliament) is the center of power, the political heart of the Federal Republic of Germany – a highly symbolic place loaded with expectations. We accompany four members of the Bundestag through their everyday routines, plunging in at eye level. The documentary Bundestag shows how politics is done today, how complex the processes and formalities behind the scenes are – a closer look at this “center of power”.

She wants to find out more about the accident- again and again she rings at the doorbell of her neighbor and makes a research on burning wounds. Her engagement in her neighborhood doesn’t resound in a community, it is an isolation. Through the constant observation of the neighbors flat that remains closed to her, her perception becomes distorted. The phantasy of Maditha grows through the distance and she starts to drift away from reality.
