After a day on a lake, Philip parts with his friends and races on a lonely forest road, running over a cyclist on the way. He wants to leave her behind, but ends up driving her to the hospital. Feelings of guilt and shame about his half- hit and run, develop into a desire to be close to this attractive older woman.
As this desire can not be fullfilled by the woman, he is drawn back to the site of the accident - the origin of the feeling that engrossed him so much.
Much more then the topic of guilt, I am interested in the moment of getting in contact with a new kind of emotion. Philip isn´t able to cope with the accident and its consequences in a rational way. As much as this harasses him, it´s also fascinating him. His desperate attempt to get grip of this emotion shows his deep desire for contact.
