Coop­er­a­tions

The fol­low­ing applies to all of our coop­er­a­tions: There are exter­nal part­ners and diverse net­work­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties as well as a view beyond the end of one’s nose.

The DFFB has always been inter­na­tion­al, not only in terms of where its stu­dents come from, but also in its exchange with film schools out­side Ger­many. There are con­nec­tions with the Lon­don Film School, La Femis in Paris, Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty of the Arts in New York, Cal­i­for­nia Insti­tute of the Arts in Los Ange­les, FAMU in Prague as well as the State Acad­e­my of Film, Tele­vi­sion and The­atre “Leon Schiller”, Łódź.

Mem­ber­ships

The DFFB is a mem­ber of CILECT, the Inter­na­tion­al Asso­ci­a­tion of Film and Tele­vi­sion Schools, the Euro­pean asso­ci­a­tion GEECT and the region­al net­work of the media and dig­i­tal indus­try media:net berlin­bran­den­burg e.V..

INTO THE WILD

INTO THE WILD is a one-year men­tor­ing pro­gramme for young female film­mak­ers from all film schools in Ger­many, ini­ti­at­ed by direc­tor Isabell Šuba. The aim is to con­nect female film­mak­ers with future col­leagues from the film busi­ness in the final phase of their stud­ies or short­ly after grad­u­a­tion.
