My name is Nils Eberwein. In my current documentary project, I want to accompany three protagonists from journalism and documentary filmmaking during a five-day Hostile Environment Awareness Training (H.E.A.T.). The film explores why people voluntarily put themselves in potentially life-threatening situations and how they prepare themselves mentally and physically for violence against media professionals.
For this purpose, I am looking for journalists/documentary filmmakers who would like to participate in a H.E.A.T. organized specifically for the film shoot. The seminar will take place from 27 to 31 July in Germany in English language, and the participation fees are greatly reduced (approx. €1,500 – €2,000 p.P.). The camera crew will observe discreetly without disrupting the program or the teaching content.
