Micha­el Bawa­ka­na is an actor and per­for­mer with an inter­na­tio­nal back­ground span­ning Ugan­da, Ukrai­ne, and Ger­ma­ny. Born in Ugan­da, he spent his for­ma­ti­ve years gro­wing up in Ukrai­ne, whe­re he pur­sued his stu­dies and deve­lo­ped strong crea­ti­ve inte­rests in both music and acting.

From 2011 to 2021, Micha­el gai­ned exten­si­ve on-set expe­ri­ence in Ukrai­ne (pri­ma­ri­ly Kyiv), working as an extra and back­ground per­for­mer in various film and tele­vi­si­on pro­duc­tions. The­se expe­ri­en­ces pro­vi­ded him with long-term expo­sure to pro­fes­sio­nal set envi­ron­ments, came­ra work, and pro­duc­tion pro­ces­ses across both local and inter­na­tio­nal film crews.

Along­side his screen expe­ri­ence, Micha­el was also acti­ve in music and live per­for­mance during this peri­od, fur­ther deve­lo­ping his artis­tic expres­si­on, rhythm, and stage pre­sence. His back­ground in music has streng­the­ned his emo­tio­nal ran­ge and per­for­mance sen­si­ti­vi­ty as an actor.

Fol­lo­wing the out­break of the war bet­ween Rus­sia and Ukrai­ne, Micha­el relo­ca­ted to Ger­ma­ny, whe­re he is curr­ent­ly based in Ber­lin. He is now focu­sed on buil­ding his pro­fes­sio­nal acting care­er in the Ger­man and Euro­pean film indus­try, actively see­king cas­ting oppor­tu­ni­ties and expan­ding his fil­mo­gra­phy.

Micha­el is open to a wide ran­ge of roles in film, tele­vi­si­on, and com­mer­cial pro­duc­tions, and is dedi­ca­ted to con­ti­nuous deve­lo­p­ment through trai­ning, col­la­bo­ra­ti­on, and pro­fes­sio­nal on-set work.
