Hel­lo,

we are Filip Janu­chow­ski & Johann Bären­klau, a com­po­ser duo based in Ber­lin, working across orches­tral, cham­ber, elec­troa­cou­stic and expe­ri­men­tal sound.

Our recent score for PHÖNIX, a 68-minu­te psy­cho­lo­gi­cal hor­ror fea­ture direc­ted by Sofie Hirsch­mül­ler, was crea­ted for an SWR /​ Film­aka­de­mie Baden-Würt­tem­berg co-pro­duc­tion. The film was nomi­na­ted for Best Editing at the at the Deut­scher Kame­ra­preis in Colo­gne.

We are loo­king for new scoring pro­jects in film, moving image, theat­re, per­for­mance and inter­di­sci­pli­na­ry for­mats.

Our work focu­ses on subt­le orches­tral tex­tures, spa­ti­al elec­troa­cou­stic lay­ers and music that grows clo­se­ly out of image, dra­ma­tur­gy and atmo­sphe­re.
