Looking for a VFX Artist for an Art Film

I’m looking for a creative VFX artist to collaborate on a 14-minute art film combining dance,
cinematic storytelling and visual effects.

The film is an adaptation of my dance solo Sense of Place, inspired by my experience of clearing
out my childhood home after my mother’s death. The work revisits memories, emotions and
objects connected to one specific room in the house and the process of clearing it.

VFX plays a very important role in this film, creating the shift between the real performance setting
(a studio space) and the dream-like environment of my memories. The film includes recurring VFX
elements, such as the appearance and disappearance of furniture, as well as more extensive work
to create a complete room environment. However, VFX is not required for the entire 14-minute
duration of the film.

The project has a VFX budget of €3,000. I understand this may not be suitable for everyone, but I
believe it offers an interesting creative challenge and a space to experiment, explore and
contribute to the visual language of an art film.

We have received an offer for a first screening of the completed film at a museum in Munich. The
details still need to be finalized, but this could offer good visibility for the project and support its
future development.

Here is a short experimental test showing the visual direction. It was created entirely by hand from
still photographs as an exploration of the visual approach:

If this sounds interesting, I would be happy to share more details and discuss the project.
Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you.
