Looking for an editor for a short doc about a radical-left project in Jerusalem
The project, filmed in February, is driven by the tension of expressing resistance in the Israeli public space. It deals with moral questions about being human, being artists, and being Jewish in times of ongoing self-made atrocities. for me, its all about rejecting the passiveness of watching the dehumanization and radicalization of society.
My collabrator and I assembled a 4‑act project where we asked for the community around us to express political resistance through art. We did this in a forward-speaking way only, with no budget, during the most crowded time of the year on the streets, and with great fear of police brutality and street violence. We were trying to form coherent acts and give ourselves and our community some courage to resist loudly against the war, in the streets we call home. we doccumented it.
The project has been sitting on my hard drive for too long, and I know it carries a message that is both challenging and urgent. I don’t have a budget yet, but I would be very honored to discuss a retainer for an editor or a producer who would join me in this project if it’ll get funds. I’m located in Berlin and experienced with low-budget ethics, so it’s important to me that my partner feels rewarded in any means I can provide.
