For our short film „Anja und das Leben der Pflan­zen“ (WT), direc­ted by Thier­ry Mousset, we’­re loo­king for an Assistant Direc­tor (AD).

It tells the sto­ry of Anja who over the cour­se of the film slow­ly trans­forms into a plant. We are visual­ly inte­res­ted in crea­ting a quiet, phy­si­cal world around this trans­for­ma­ti­on, with a lot of atten­ti­on to light, time, still­ness and the pre­sence of the plants.

Shoo­ting dates are Oct 17–21 and the loca­ti­on is in Ber­lin clo­se to Yorck­stra­ße.

Your AD-respon­si­bi­li­ties:
– Sup­port­ing the direc­tor in pre­pa­ring and run­ning an effi­ci­ent, well-orga­ni­zed set
– Crea­ting and mana­ging the shoo­ting schedule/​call sheets in coor­di­na­ti­on with the pro­du­cers
– Kee­ping track of sce­nes, shots, and time on set; coor­di­na­ting cast and crew throug­hout the day
– Hel­ping main­tain focus and pace on set, espe­ci­al­ly given the film’s quiet, deli­be­ra­te tone
– Acting as a com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on link bet­ween direc­tor, cast, and crew

We can offer:
– Gre­at cate­ring
– A dedi­ca­ted most­ly FLINTA* team and ple­nty of crea­ti­ve free­dom on a visual­ly inte­res­t­ing pro­ject

We’­re loo­king for:
– Expe­ri­ence as an AD or in a simi­lar production/​coordination role (short film, indie sets wel­co­me)
– Strong orga­niza­tio­nal skills
– Good com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on skills and a col­la­bo­ra­ti­ve mind­set
– Ide­al­ly some fami­lia­ri­ty with call sheets, sche­du­ling, or shoo­ting scripts
