For my narrative short film Waiting Wombs, I’m looking for a few more crew members for our shoot at the end of November in Berlin.
The film is my final Master’s project at UdK Berlin and explores endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain and the absurdities of navigating the gynecological healthcare system.
SCRIPT SUPERVISOR
Someone with a good eye for storytelling, performances and visual continuity, who can keep track of our shot list, coverage and framing, and help make sure we’ve captured everything we need for each scene. Especially important as the director will also be acting and won’t always be able to watch the monitor.
HAIR & MAKEUP / STYLING (HMU)
Looking for someone who can create naturalistic, realistic makeup looks, particularly tired, sickly and exhausted appearances, as well as crying makeup.
The protagonist’s physical condition changes throughout the film, from looking relatively healthy in one scene to visibly unwell in another, so it’s important to have someone on set who can create these different looks and maintain continuity between takes and scenes.
Styling and wardrobe support would be a bonus, but makeup is the priority.
SET RUNNER / PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
Looking for an all-rounder to help out on set! Tasks include setting up and dressing locations, arranging furniture and props, helping with equipment, and generally lending a hand wherever needed throughout the shoot.
SHOOT: End of November 2026 in Berlin, currently planning November 22nd and 28th/29th.
This is a small independent production with a very limited budget, so all roles are voluntary. Catering and film credits will of course be provided. We’re planning to submit the finished film to festivals and organize screenings in Berlin.
If you’re interested, please send me a short introduction, any relevant experience or portfolio, and your availability to avelina.de.ment@gmail.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
