For our short film „Anja und das Leben der Pflanzen“ (WT), directed by Thierry Mousset, we’re looking for an Assistant Director (AD).
It tells the story of Anja who over the course of the film slowly transforms into a plant. We are visually interested in creating a quiet, physical world around this transformation, with a lot of attention to light, time, stillness and the presence of the plants.
Shooting dates are Oct 17–21 and the location is in Berlin close to Yorckstraße.
Your AD-responsibilities:
– Supporting the director in preparing and running an efficient, well-organized set
– Creating and managing the shooting schedule/call sheets in coordination with the producers
– Keeping track of scenes, shots, and time on set; coordinating cast and crew throughout the day
– Helping maintain focus and pace on set, especially given the film’s quiet, deliberate tone
– Acting as a communication link between director, cast, and crew

We’re looking for:
– Experience as an AD or in a similar production/coordination role (short film, indie sets welcome)
– Strong organizational skills
– Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
– Ideally some familiarity with call sheets, scheduling, or shooting scripts
