Syn­op­sis:
Ein jun­ger Musik­stu­dent stößt im Park mit einer gera­de lesen­den jun­gen Frau zusam­men. Aus die­ser unschein­ba­ren Begeg­nung ent­wi­ckelt sich im Ver­lauf des Vide­os eine roman­ti­sche Lie­bes­ge­schich­te. Gemein­sam ent­de­cken sie die Stadt und tei­len unver­gess­li­che Augen­bli­cke – bis sie eines Tages vor einer schwe­ren Ent­schei­dung ste­hen. Er erfährt, dass er einen Sti­pen­di­ums-Platz in Ame­ri­ka bekommt. Sie ermu­tigt ihn, sei­nen Traum zu ver­wirk­li­chen, auch wenn das ihre Tren­nung bedeu­tet.
Die Zeit ver­geht und zahl­rei­che Ver­su­che, den Kon­takt zu bewah­ren, schei­tern an unglück­li­chen Zufäl­len. Brie­fe errei­chen ein­an­der nicht, die Ver­bin­dung scheint ver­lo­ren – bis das Schick­sal sie eines Tages in einem Buch­la­den erneut zusam­men­führt.

Über das Pro­jekt:
Höpen Media ist eine klei­ne, jun­ge Pro­duk­ti­ons­fir­ma mit Sitz in Ber­lin. Das Video ent­steht im Auf­trag eines deut­schen Klas­sik­la­bels mit einem klei­nen Pro­duk­ti­ons­team zu klei­nem Bud­get. Wir zah­len eine Auf­wands­ent­schä­di­gung.

Syn­op­sis:
A young music stu­dent bumps into a young woman rea­ding in the park. This unre­mar­kab­le encoun­ter deve­lo­ps into a roman­tic love sto­ry over the cour­se of the video. Tog­e­ther they dis­co­ver the city and share unfor­gettable moments—until one day they are faced with a dif­fi­cult decis­i­on. When he is award­ed a scho­lar­ship to stu­dy in Ame­ri­ca, she encou­ra­ges him to rea­li­ze his dream, even if it means they will have to part ways.
Time pas­ses, and num­e­rous attempts to stay in touch fail due to unfort­u­na­te coin­ci­den­ces. Let­ters don’t reach each other, the con­nec­tion seems lost – until fate brings them tog­e­ther again one day in a book­s­to­re.

About the pro­ject:
The video is being pro­du­ced on behalf of a Ger­man clas­si­cal music label with a small pro­duc­tion team and a small bud­get. We pay an expen­se allo­wan­ce.

Shoo­ting peri­od:
Film­ing will take place in Ber­lin over four days: Sep­tem­ber 23–24 plus two addi­tio­nal days.

Für einen ambi­tio­nier­ten wie lei­den­schaft­li­chen Kurz­spiel­film suchen wir noch eine:n Beleuchter:in, der:die gemein­sam mit dem erfah­re­nen Kol­le­gen Max Andereya (maxi​mi​lia​nan​dereya​.com) die Bild­ge­stal­tung über­nimmt.

Der Dreh­ort ist in Dah­lem, Indoor, ohne Schau­platz­wech­sel. Der etwa 15 mal 10 Meter gro­ße Raum mit Bestuh­lung muss je nach Sze­ne unter­schied­lich aus­ge­leuch­tet wer­den, um die rich­ti­ge Stim­mung und Tages­zeit zu trans­por­tie­ren – und um die fünf Spie­len­den best­mög­lich in Sze­ne zu set­zen.

Wir haben ein span­nen­des Dreh­buch ent­wi­ckelt, das am Zahn der Zeit ist, und suchen nun kurz­fris­tig jeman­den, der:die die Ver­ant­wor­tung für die Beleuch­tung über­neh­men möch­te.

Eige­nes Equip­ment wäre toll, ist aber nicht zwin­gend erfor­der­lich. Eine Gage kön­nen wir in Anbe­tracht der kur­zen Zeit ver­han­deln.

For Shel­ly Silver’s new expe­ri­men­tal docu­men­ta­ry blen­ding fic­tion and rea­li­ty, we
are loo­king for per­for­mers for a ran­ge of roles – inclu­ding spo­ken sce­nes as well as
per­for­ma­ti­ve, silent, or cho­reo­gra­phed moments.
The film explo­res four his­to­ri­cal­ly char­ged loca­ti­ons in and around Pots­dam and
Ber­lin explo­ring the tan­gled lines of power, histo­ry, vio­lence and fan­ta­sy that can
be drawn bet­ween them. The sto­ry unfolds through the eyes of a fic­tion­al film
stu­dent as she enga­ges with the­se places in an effort to make sen­se of the rapidly
chan­ging world.
We are curr­ent­ly loo­king to fill the role of the film stu­dent and her on again off again
roman­tic part­ner. Acting expe­ri­ence is hel­pful but not requi­red – more important
are open­ness, curio­si­ty, and a wil­ling­ness to col­la­bo­ra­te.
