Crew Call – Short Horror Film “Home”

🎬 Crew Call – Short Film “Home” (Berlin, mid/end September)

Deutsch

Drehzeitraum
Geplant für Mitte/Ende September (2 Drehtage) in Berlin.
No-Budget, Leidenschaftsprojekt.

For the production of my short film “Home”, I am looking for:

Make-up Artist – subtle horror effects, including one scene with minimal blood
VFX Artist – a few minimal but impactful shots in post-production
Production Sound Mixer – to capture on-set sound and ambience

About the project
An atmospheric horror film set entirely in one apartment.
The tension is built through an oppressive atmosphere, lighting, and sound.

In the stillness of his grief, a man’s home becomes an uncanny echo of his past – something unspeakable returns to the present, from which he cannot escape.

Planned for mid/end of September (2 shooting days) in Berlin.

Feminist family-friendly short film (SommerFilmCamp 2025)

Important Info
Shooting time: festival 18–24.8, 2025 (shooting dates: 20,21,22.8)
Location: Grunewald, Berlin

“Motherboard”
The short film is a reflection on motherhood and female identity and follows two women. One, an exhausted nurse and the other, a perfectly constructed cyborg housewife. Their meeting becomes a catalyst for the realization that being a mother is much more than caring and self-sacrifice: it means allowing vulnerability, freeing oneself from external expectations, and discovering one’s own sources of strength in dialogue with other women.

Who we need:
Gaffer (Beleuchtung)
Sound person (Ton)
Hair & Make-up person
Documentary / Behind-the-scenes person

A bit more about us:
Motherboard is a short film that is part of SommerFilmCamp, a participatory festival. SommerFilmCamp is more than just a film production, it is a social movement that aims to shape the way films are made. In a world where creative people often have to choose between family and work, SommerFilmCamp aims to provide a space where both are possible. For one week (August 18–24, 2025), filmmakers, artists, and families can immerse themselves in our SommerFilmCamp in the heart of Berlin’s Grunewald forest, not just for parents, but for anyone who believes that a better work-life balance can lead to more innovative and impactful stories.
