We’re crea­ting a short, poe­tic docu­men­ta­ry that explo­res you, me, all of us — huma­ni­ty its­elf. Yes, it might sound a bit sen­ti­men­tal, but it’s honest. The uni­ver­sa­li­ty of the human expe­ri­ence.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We move through life, gro­wing, dis­co­ve­ring, always chan­ging. This film is about what con­nects us, one life, many voices. Even though every per­son is uni­que, there’s some­thing uni­ver­sal­ly human in all our sto­ries. Often we focus on what sepa­ra­tes us, here we ques­ti­on the idea of “gene­ra­tio­nal gaps” and explo­re that the stages of life are more con­nec­ted than we think, all part of the same jour­ney.

The­re are no right or wrong ans­wers — it’s an open explo­ra­ti­on.

YOUR ROLE IN IT

Par­ti­ci­pa­ti­on is simp­le and divi­ded into two parts:

1. Voice Inter­view.
You’ll recei­ve 6 reflec­ti­ve ques­ti­ons about your life and expe­ri­en­ces. You can ans­wer them via voice notes, on your own time, from whe­re­ver you feel most com­for­ta­ble. Then send your recor­dings via email or Whats­App.

2. Per­so­nal Foo­ta­ge (film­ed tog­e­ther)
We’ll meet to cap­tu­re foo­ta­ge of you — gui­ded, but with room for crea­ti­vi­ty.

This could be:
In your favou­ri­te park
At home, coo­king, rea­ding, pain­ting, play­ing and instru­ment, dancing
Wea­ring some­thing you love (or some­thing bold you never wear)
With someone important to you
In a place that means some­thing, or place you would like to show

Lie­be Film­schaf­fen­de,
in Zusam­men­ar­beit und mit der Kul­tur­Fa­brik Moa­bit pla­ne ich ein Film­kol­lek­tiv zu grün­den. „Fabrik­Film“ soll eine Com­mu­ni­ty für alle sein, die neben ihrem Job oder Stu­di­um gemein­sam an Film­pro­jek­ten arbei­ten möch­ten.
Unter der Woche trifft man sich, um Dreh­bü­cher zu schrei­ben, Ideen aus­zu­tau­schen und Drehs zu pla­nen. An aus­ge­wähl­ten Wochen­en­den oder in den Semes­ter­fe­ri­en sol­len dann die Dreh­ar­bei­ten statt­fin­den.
Das Film­kol­lek­tiv ist für Men­schen gedacht, die beim Film arbei­ten wol­len, und noch Erfah­rung suchen. Aber auch an alle, die bereits Erfah­rung beim Film gesam­melt haben und in ihrer Frei­zeit sich noch mehr mit Film aus­ein­an­der­set­zen wol­len.
Ziel ist es eine Com­mu­ni­ty zu haben, in der wir zusam­men krea­tiv sein kön­nen. Die Hier­ar­chien sol­len flach sein und jeder soll das mit­brin­gen, was er/​sie/​they am bes­ten kann.
Die Kul­tur­fa­brik wür­de als regel­mä­ßi­ger Treff­punkt, poten­ti­el­ler Dreh­ort die­nen und das Kino der Kul­tur­fa­brik als Ort , wo wir unse­re Kurz­fil­me auf gro­ßer Lein­wand prä­sen­tie­ren kön­nen.
Wenn du Lust hast Teil eines Kol­lek­tivs zu wer­den und noch Kapa­zi­tä­ten im All­tag frei hast, mel­de dich ger­ne. Alle Posi­tio­nen, die man an einem Film­set fin­den kann, sind will­kom­men.

Dear Film­ma­kers,
In col­la­bo­ra­ti­on with Kul­tur­Fa­brik Moa­bit, I’m plan­ning to start a film coll­ec­ti­ve. “Fabrik­Film” is meant to be a com­mu­ni­ty for ever­yo­ne who wants to work on film pro­jects along­side their job or stu­dies.
During the week, we’ll meet to wri­te screen­plays, exch­an­ge ide­as, and plan shoots. The film­ing will take place on sel­ec­ted weekends or during semes­ter breaks.
The coll­ec­ti­ve is for peo­p­le who want to work in film and are loo­king to gain expe­ri­ence. But also for tho­se who alre­a­dy have expe­ri­ence and want to con­ti­nue working on films also in their free time.
The goal is to crea­te a com­mu­ni­ty whe­re we can be crea­ti­ve tog­e­ther. Hier­ar­chies should be flat, and ever­yo­ne is encou­ra­ged to con­tri­bu­te what they do best.
Kul­tur­Fa­brik will ser­ve as a regu­lar mee­ting point, a poten­ti­al film­ing loca­ti­on, and its cine­ma will offer us a space to screen our short films on the big screen.
