In this 2 Day cour­se, we look deeper into its workings

5–6.4.25 || 10:00–17:00

We see how to orga­ni­ze pro­jects and lay­ers with pre­comps, paren­ting and simp­le expres­si­ons, to work more fle­xi­ble.
We look into lay­er types like text and shape lay­ers and their capa­bi­li­ties.
In moti­on – with tools like the graph edi­tor or time-remap­ping we con­trol timing and speed for smoot­her ani­ma­ti­ons.
Final­ly, let’s see how to tack­le dif­fe­rent looks, with advan­ced opti­ons when import­ing illus­tra­ti­ons, and effects.

We approach the­se topics with a prac­ti­cal approach, with time to work for yours­elf and ask ques­ti­ons.
The second part of Sun­day we have some time to put the lear­ned into crea­ti­ve action.

Peo­p­le who regis­ter for the work­shop should have a basic expe­ri­ence with After Effects.
If you can work with key­frames, know how to pre-com­po­se and what easy-ease does, you should be good to go.

Es sind jeweils Expo­sé und Dreh­buch ver­füg­bar. Die Rech­te lie­gen nicht bei den Ver­la­gen, son­dern bei mir, so dass eine Nut­zung für Kurz­fil­me mög­lich ist:

„Im Nebel“ (AT)
Sie will Ver­söh­nung mit ihrer Ver­gan­gen­heit, doch die Zeit läuft gegen sie. (The­men: Demenz, Pfle­ge, Fami­li­en­kon­flik­te)
Eine Frau besucht ihren Vater im Pfle­ge­heim. Sie kämpft mit Erin­ne­run­gen an ihre Kind­heit, möch­te die­se mit ihrem Vater klä­ren, doch sei­ne Demenz ist so weit fort­ge­schrit­ten, dass sie mit ihrer Ver­gan­gen­heit allei­ne zu blei­ben droht.

„Die Prü­fung“ (AT)
Er will frei leben, doch die neue Frei­heit schränkt ihn stär­ker ein als sein frü­he­res Leben. (The­men: Migra­ti­on, Coming out, Fami­li­en­trau­ma)
Ein Geflüch­te­ter ist in einer ent­schei­den­den Sprach­prü­fung mit den Erin­ne­run­gen an sei­ne Ver­gan­gen­heit und den Traum von einem neu­en Leben in Deutsch­land kon­fron­tiert. Trotz dem Druck, sei­ne Per­sön­lich­keit zu ver­leug­nen, über­win­det er sei­ne Ängs­te und erhält das ersehn­te Zer­ti­fi­kat, das ihm eine Zukunft ver­spricht.

„Die wei­ße Bro­schü­re“ (AT)
Der Kon­takt mit sei­nen Enkel­kin­dern lässt ihren allein­le­ben­den Opa auf­blü­hen (The­men: Fami­lie, Pfle­ge, Ein­sam­keit im Alter)
Ein eigen­bröt­le­ri­scher Vater wird von sei­ner Toch­ter und den Enkel­kin­dern besucht. Wäh­rend die Kin­der ihn mit ihrer Unbe­küm­mert­heit irri­tie­ren, hin­ter­lässt die Bro­schü­re eines Pfle­ge­heims eine tie­fe­re Unru­he – und zwingt ihn, sich mit sei­ner Zukunft aus­ein­an­der­zu­set­zen.

We re loo­king for Eng­lish spea­king actors and actres­ses, per­for­mers, dancers and musi­ci­ans

as well as peo­p­le who would like to do sound, cine­ma­to­gra­phy or assis­tance

for the new expe­ri­men­tal mys­tery-web-series „Mini­golf at Night“ by Ste­phan Sei­del.

The for­mat will invol­ve a lot of impro­vi­sa­ti­on (but actors /​ actres­ses don t have to be good in impro­vi­sing dia­lo­gue neces­s­a­ri­ly e.g.)

Some influen­ces for the show come from David Lynch, John Cas­sa­ve­tes, Per­for­mance Art and various pain­ters.

Ste­phan Sei­del ori­gi­nal­ly work­ed in thea­ter as wri­ter /​ direc­tor and swit­ched to making films after doing per­for­man­ces with film ele­ments. His films were shown at Luru cine­ma Leip­zig, Baby­lon cine­ma Ber­lin and at the Ancho­ra­ge muse­um.

Cas­tings and test shoots will be held in Leip­zig:
13th of March
and 27th of March
in the after­noon
