Im Früh­jahr nächs­ten Jah­res dre­hen wir eine ca. 20–25 minü­ti­ge Dra­mö­die.
Wir befin­den uns im Jahr 1925. Marie ist 19 Jah­re alt, lebt bei ihren Eltern und soll mor­gen ihre Aus­bil­dung als Schnei­de­re­rin anfan­gen, um in die Fuß­stap­fen ihrer Mut­ter zu tre­ten. Dabei inter­es­siert sie viel mehr die Arbeit in der Werk­statt ihres Vaters. In der Nacht vor ihrem ers­ten Arbeits­tag schleicht sie sich, wie so oft, in die Werk­statt und fin­det einen bizar­ren Gegen­stand. Schnel­ler als sie gucken kann, fin­det sie sich 100 Jah­re in der Zukunft wie­der. Sofort möch­te sie zurück in ihre Gegen­wart, doch das soll ihr nicht leicht gemacht wer­den…

„Plea­se, kill mys­elf “
The sto­ry fea­tures three cha­rac­ters: a father figu­re repre­sen­ting the sta­te, a son repre­sen­ting the new gene­ra­ti­on, and a young woman who chal­lenges tho­se norms. Dad’s figu­re holds all the power and shapes the rea­li­ty of others. He takes away the hair of a woman while the son is obser­ving. The cycle of punish­ment is intro­du­ced to kids as a power for good.
The loss of child­hood, when young boys are taught what is “honour” when they hold wea­pons for the first time. The young woman, a cha­rac­ter, child­li­ke, is expe­ri­en­cing tho­se rea­li­ties and explo­ring her way to save hers. She is obli­ged to fol­low rules that she doesn’t belie­ve in and suf­fers from them. A fema­le figu­re chal­lenges tho­se norms, plays with them and pro­tects child­hood in the shadows of the dad’s figu­re.

We are loo­king for three crea­ti­ve col­la­bo­ra­tors to join the team for our dia­lo­gue-dri­ven, emo­tio­nal­ly inti­ma­te short film Ver­mis­sung ist da. The film is a cham­ber pie­ce explo­ring memo­ry, siblings, and the invi­si­ble emo­tio­nal archi­tec­tu­re of a fami­ly home.

1) Set Desi­gner /​ Pro­duc­tion Desi­gner

We need someone with a strong sen­se for cha­rac­ter-dri­ven spaces and subt­le visu­al sto­rytel­ling. The film takes place enti­re­ly insi­de an older woman’s apart­ment — slight­ly aged, eclec­tic, car­ry­ing traces of a life lived.

The exis­ting loca­ti­on alre­a­dy includes wild red tones in the walls and fur­ni­tu­re, as well as mixed, mis­mat­ched, but emo­tio­nal­ly char­ged objects. We will start from that and build upon it with stran­ge, poe­tic, slight­ly unsett­ling tou­ch­es in the decor. We want to lean into the imper­fec­tions of the flat to high­light the­mes of memo­ry, inhe­ri­ted cha­os, and emo­tio­nal resi­due.

Gre­at for someone who wants to prac­ti­ce atmo­sphe­ric world-buil­ding on a small bud­get.

2) Cos­tu­me & Make­up (can be two sepa­ra­te roles or one com­bi­ned)

Work with two cha­rac­ters, siblings in their late 20s/​early 30s, both emo­tio­nal­ly loa­ded but res­trai­ned in expres­si­on, as well as with the ward­ro­be of their recent­ly pas­sed mother. Includes work with:

- Sto­ry-first cos­tu­me design
– Tex­tures, muted palet­tes, lived-in clot­hing
– A clean, subt­le make­up approach that enhan­ces emo­tio­nal rea­lism rather than sty­li­zes

Gre­at oppor­tu­ni­ty for someone inte­res­ted in per­for­mance-dri­ven films and mini­ma­list aes­the­tics.

3) 1st Came­ra Assistant /​ Focus Pul­ler

We’re shoo­ting both sta­tic and moving images — pre­cis­i­on in focus and the adja­cent details are cru­cial. We’re loo­king for someone con­fi­dent with:

- Pul­ling focus during per­for­mance-hea­vy dia­lo­gue
– Sup­port­ing a small, agi­le came­ra team
– Stay­ing sharp during long takes with emo­tio­nal weight

Ber­lin-based film­ma­ker see­king a male Ger­man actor (30s, flu­ent Eng­lish) for lead sup­port­ing role.
I’m deve­lo­ping a 10–11 minu­te short film titled I’m Maya; a dark­ly humo­rous cha­rac­ter stu­dy about a modern Tur­ki­sh immi­grant woman in Ber­lin who loses access to her social media and slow­ly unra­vels try­ing to pro­ve her iden­ti­ty.

The Role:
You’d play Maya’s boy­fri­end; well-mea­ning but emo­tio­nal­ly dis­con­nec­ted. He tri­es to sup­port her cri­sis but can’t ful­ly grasp her dis­pla­ce­ment. Loo­king for natu­ral, under­sta­ted per­for­mance with strong impro­vi­sa­ti­on skills.
